The SEO and AI search space has become so exhausting.
It’s filled with absolute nonsense from people with zero experience in ever driving revenue from organic search.
This post below had 800+ likes and 2,300+ bookmarks yesterday….probably way more now.
AI is rotting people’s brains faster than TikTok.
If everyone can supposedly publish the same caliber of content in one click, creating infinite competition with zero barrier to entry, how exactly does YOUR content win?
If everyone can publish everything perfectly with one button and no experience, how do you get YOUR generic identical article to rank and drive pipeline against infinite competitors doing the same thing?
Congrats friend, you just came full circle and realized you actually need to pay people for their expertise!
The supply of attention from search and AI is a fixed asset: 10 blue links, a few top brands recommended by AI.
To combat this spam, search engines and AI get more restrictive on what they recommend, and supply of attention (which is already tiny) will become more constrained, thus more competitive, thus more expensive to net the same outcomes as before.
Simply put: if anyone can publish mass content at scale, it doesn’t make SEO easier or cheaper. It does the exact opposite.
Meaning SEOs who can actually rank you, get you mentioned in a sea of 10,000,000 new slop competitors, and drive BUSINESS OUTCOMES will make a fortune.
The more that people use AI tools to mass flood the SERPs with content, the harder it gets to rank, the more in demand the skills of those who can actually rank you become, and thus the more they charge, and the more it costs businesses to do SEO that actually works.
Already seeing this, btw.
People are so obsessed with driving deliverable costs to zero that all logic has vanished. When you pay an agency for content marketing you aren’t paying for written words. You’re paying for expertise, strategy, repeated proven success at achieving a desired outcome, and the ability to create an asset that actually ranks + drives new business.
Content mills have existed for decades, yet not a single long-lasting business driving millions per month in organic revenue has ever been created by churning out $50 content mill articles. Funny how that works.
Content spinning (most “SEO and GEO Experts” haven’t even been around the block long enough to know what content spinning is, lol) and mass-publishing slop existed long before ChatGPT.
Funny how companies who did that are… you guessed it… not around today.
If you’re investing in SEO and AI search this year, be INSANELY careful about who you hire. It will literally make or break your entire organic channel.
